Cheekye Ranch Wedding in Squamish

Just looking through these photos you can see how fun Sara & Cody are. These two live in Tofino with their adopted dog Bo. We met last summer when we took their engagement photos in the forest in Squamish. Bo came along for the shoot and definitely created a hilarious atmosphere. Anytime we tied him to a tree so we could get some photos of just Sara & Cody, he would howl and whine until he was the centre of attention again. We just kept saying that he was serenading us.

Flash forward to their wedding this year at Cheekye Ranch. The road out of Tofino was closed so these two had to travel 11 hours to get to Squamish. But you know they had the best attitude. Sara & Cody’s wedding day started off incredibly windy, turned to torrential downpour and then turned to sunshine. We got every kind of weather this day! The wind kept us cool through the ceremony and the rain was so much fun. Half way through the dancing the storm came through and Sara looked at me and asked “can we go take photos in the rain”? I of course agreed and we ran out into the storm and took some of my favourite photos that day. We then came back inside and while these two were dancing with their friends a rainbow came out. It was honestly the perfect day! I love these two and feel so lucky connect with so many wonderful couples.
