A Rainbow Park Proposal

Ryan surprised Shally when he popped the question at Rainbow Park in Whistler on August 8th.

Ryan and I emailed back and forth for a few weeks before the big day trying to figure out the perfect spot.
We lucked out with perfect weather, it was cool and sunny with clouds moving around the valley. Ryan, Shally and their friends showed up in the park and I recognized them right away. The friends sneakily asked a few people on the dock to move while Ryan & Shally chatted a bit away. Then the couple walked to the end of the dock and Ryan asked the question.

Shally was so in shock as she walked back to her friends. She was probably the best person to surprise this way as she had absolutely no idea it was going to happen. She didn’t even suspect anything when her friends got to dress up nicely to visit the park. Or when Ryan was upset over her hot pink nails.

I am so happy Ryan asked me to photograph this moment. These two was wonderful to meet and spend time with. They were so comfortable with each other and so happy together.
