Ispoot Glacier Helicopter Elopement

Haley and Ben are Whistler locals with the most fun loving personalities!

These two planned an intimate elopement at the Ispoot Glacier in Whistler, BC. We flew from Blackcomb Helicopters on a cool July day up to the alpine lake. What I love about helicopters is their flexibility in landing. We flew around the area once and then decided on a good location to land. The Whistler Wedding Pastor led a beautiful ceremony on a rock beside the lake with the waterfall in the background. After the ceremony these two ran around lakeside dancing and enjoying the view. I loved photographing this elopement because of their energy! I never once had to pose them they just enjoyed the area and I followed along with my camera.

After an hour or so we flew back to the heli base. We then drove to the south end of Whistler to Cheakamus Creek. Haley and Ben often spend time in this spot and wanted to come here on their wedding day. The sun broke through the clouds and we got a few photos by the water.

It was a treat to spend the day with these two! I loved meeting them both and hope to see them around Whistler!
