Steamworks Gastown Wedding

Jess & Alex held their wedding ceremony on Spanish Banks in Vancouver and was organized by Memories with Madelyne. It was the perfect sunny day surrounded by their friends and family and the sounds of the ocean. I actually went to high school and university with Jess’s little brother Alex (different Alex of course). Jess reached out to me when she found out I photographed weddings and had also relocated to BC. It was great reconnecting with Alex and a few other familiar faces at the wedding! I typically photograph in the mountains but it felt so good to have the city as a new creative space to shoot. The light was beautiful walking around Gastown, Vancouver close to Steamworks Brewery where the reception was being held. We also quickly went out to the water at golden hour and I got some of favourite photos of Jess and Alex with the city in the background. This was such a beautiful day and I loved being a part of it!
