Whistler Engagement Session

This photo session was so fun for me. Sophie and Marty met in 2016 in Whistler working at The Adventure Group as zip line guides. I also met both of them that summer and we spent our days outside in the rain, sunshine, with guests and flying through the mountains. It was such a special first summer for all of us. Sophie and Marty won couple of the summer, at a random work awards staff party, and eight years later they are still together. These two also spent three years doing long distance while Marty was in Australia and Sophie was in Ontario. They knew that they are supposed to be together so they made it work visiting each other on trips over the years. Now they live in Vancouver together and are getting married.

This was the first time we had seen each other in probably seven years so getting together to do this session was such a nice catch up and so much fun. We started off parking at Green Lake in Whistler and looked around at the mountains and it was looking pretty stormy. I almost decided to change the location to the river so we would have forest cover if it rained but we ended up heading to the beach hoping it wouldn’t get too stormy. As we arrived at the beach the clouds parted and the sun came out and the water got all sparkly. It was absolutely perfect. These two also made my job easy, they were so comfortable with each other and me and we just giggled and ran around the beach for an hour.
